2018 GMC Terrain

General Motor is preparing new mid-size crossover. We’ve heard there is ongoing work on 2018 GMC Terrain, which could fit in upper class of this segment. From what we know, SUV is coming refreshed, with changes on suspension and styling. Also, performance tweaks will give you new look on 2018 Terrain. Interior of the cabin is revisited, but final version is not done yet, because there are a lot of features which has to be updated and as recent as possible for production model.

2018 GMC Terrain engine

To upgrade performance of the upcoming crossover, engineers had to tune existing drivetrain, since new one is not an option. Same as in previous SUV, 2018 GMC Terrain gets 3.6-l VVT V6 as its power source. We suppose, this time it is going to be few steps closer to deliver 200 hp. Torque is around 250 lb-ft.
This power is sent through 6-speed transmission to front wheels by default, or all wheels if that is buyer’s choice. As other mid-size crossovers, new Terrain will sprint to 60 mph in around 7 seconds. US based company recently introduced Fuel-Saving Eco Mode system for better fuel economy. For better performance, ground clearance is increased, which improves stability and handling.

2018 GMC Terrain redesign

Visual appearance of the 2018 GMC Terrain remains pretty much the same as for its predecessor. Body of the crossover is now higher, and new colors are offered. Front is suffering the most changes, including headlights and grille modifications. Grille is again bold, with large, chrome GMC emblems on it. Narrower headlights are making this SUV more aggressive.
New crystal rectifier technology applied on lights is improving visibility. Base models are coming with 18-inch wheels, while upper trims use 19- and 20-inchers. Inside, 7-inch display shows most of the situation about new Terrain. Infotainment is consisting audio system, USB ports and other connectivity options.

2018 GMC Terrain release date

There is no exact date of release for 2018 GMC Terrain. We assume this crossover is planned for late 2017 or first quarter of 2018. Base price should remain close to existing, and it is around $25,000.
