2018 Range Rover Sport

New Range Rover Sport is coming redesigned for 2018 season. It has been already noticed in the streets, but under heavy camouflage. However, some things are unveiled and some could be predicted comparing the 2018 Range Rover Sport to its predecessor and other vehicles from same manufacturer. This crossover should be a part of mid-cycle refresh of the second generation, while new one comes not before 2020. Changes are minimal, but worth of mentioning, since engineers have worked on things that bothered users.

2018 Range Rover Sport engines

Engine range of the SUV will be carried over from current model, with slight minor changes. That means we will again choose between petrol and diesel-powered crossover. Both units are with 3.0-l V6 displacement. Diesel powerplant have less power, around 250 hp. This TD6 turbodiesel plant can deliver more torque than petrol unit, with 450 lb-ft comparing to 400 lb-ft delivered from gasoline engine. It is supercharged unit that can make 380 horses. A 6-speed automatic transmission is mated to both units and sends power to either front or all wheels.

2018 Range Rover Sport trim levels

Total three trim levels will be made for 2018 Range Rover Sport. Entry level could be upgraded and comes as HST, while models with SVR badge tops the class. Part of the redesign includes new spoiler, black roof and 21-inch alloy wheels. Red brake calipers boosts overall classy impression. Inside, two-colored seats, aluminum pedals and many more elegant details are positioned all around the cabin. Some of the rumors say, and it couldn’t be seen on spy shots, is that new Range Rover Sport could get a new hood and grille, but we can’t predict what does that mean.

2018 Range Rover Sport release date

There is a delay in launch of this model. Some while ago, rumors were whispering about new generation of the vehicle, and now we’ve heard that 2018 Range Rover Sport is refreshed model. However, it should come during 2017 to fill the gap before new vehicle is developed. Price is still unknown but slight increase could be expected.
