2018 Dodge Durango

Dodge is company probably the best-known about their muscle car Viper, but also pick-up trucks. Nevertheless, company also made few attractive models in other segments, and one of the most interesting projects were Durango. Crossover was popular, but economic crisis started in 2008 and recession took charge, so company was forced to sacrifice some of their vehicles. Decision was on this crossover, whose resurrection is expected as 2018 Dodge Durango. We expect modern look and new model since last one was released in 2012. This comeback could shake things up in the SUV class, especially if it regain its popularity from the end of 2008.

2018 Dodge Durango engines

One of the engines, probably installed in base models of the 2018 Dodge Durango will be V6 unit, with 3.6-l Pentastar displacement. This full-size crossover needs a lot of power, which should be provided from this drivetrain. Total output is just under 300 hp, while torque rate is 260 lb-ft. We expect Dodge to develop new transmission with 8 gears and automatic shifting.
Nevertheless, one of the highlights is upgraded towing capacity which could grow for 1,000 lbs and for 2018 Durango is max 6,200 pounds. Other engines which are considered are 5.7-l HEMI V8, with capability to produce 360 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. However, this model takes a lot more fuel, so it could be dropped. But, its advantage is more towing capacity than for V6 models.

2018 Dodge Durango redesign

Many features that exist in Dodge trucks and muscle cars could be used for brand new crossover. To compete in this class, 2018 Dodge Durango must offer hi-tech equipment, comfortable interior, and many more things. Outside, SUV has sporty appearance with some aggressive lines and curves. LED technology is used for front lights. Nevertheless, these lamps on the taillights are even more impressive. Back to front, used cross-styled grille is the highlight of RAM 1500, as well as underlined lines by flared fenders.

Roof is low, which adds some more aggressiveness. Inside, technologies such as 8.4-inch touch-screen display, with Uconnect system will boost safety and entertainment, and some of the controls are positioned on steering wheel.
