2018 Dacia Duster

Fans are getting used to new crossover made by Romanian carmaker Dacia. Well, it is not completely their work, since this company is owned by better know French brand Renault, and from this cooperation came Duster SUV. Nevertheless, Renault is not one of the most favorite vehicle in this classes, but with experience from sedan segment, where Renault cars are well known for their comfort, it could be carried over to another class. That’s why we eagerly expect 2018 Dacia Duster. This crossover was announced for 2017, but looks like there are delays in development of some parts.

2018 Dacia Duster redesign

According to market results, Duster nameplate is raising with every new model. Breakthrough happened in 2013, when this vehicle made the top of the selling charts. That meant cooperation is successful, as well as idea, and it should be continued. Back then in 2013 crossover had many cosmetic changes, and similar is expected of 2018 Dacia Duster. New SUV is larger than before, wheelbase is 15 cm longer and vehicle is coming wider. This could bring another, third row of seats in the cabin, which could be double-edged sword.
Old users got used to current version of Duster, but it could be solved by adding 3-row seating models as particular trim. This is not the only news on the crossover, since it has new dashboard with updated infotainment and safety features controls through touch screen display.

2018 Dacia Duster powertain

Engine range won’t suffer much change comparing to the predecessor of 2018 Dacia Duster. A 2.0-l 4-cylinder unit is taking its place again under the hood of SUV. A 4-speed automated transmission distributes power to front wheels. There are other two possible driving modes available for upcoming Duster SUV – Auto and Lock. Vehicle can develop 135 horsepower and probably 150 lb-ft of torque.

This is not big performer, with modest top speed and acceleration. On the other side, fuel economy of the 2018 Duster should be its main advantage over its competition. Also, price is unknown yet, but Dacia is definitely cheaper than rivals, and this is another good thing for all fans of the Romanian carmaker.
