2018 Mini Countryman

Car world, especially lovers of the Countryman, are delighted with the news announcing new vehicle for 2018. Not only that, Mini is launching new generation of its popular model.  With many changes to be made, the 2018 Mini Countryman will mark the start of the second-generation, which is going to be probably largest Mini ever. During past few years customers feedback for British car raised and there are more and more users.

To keep their trust, and to bring others, company always develops new stuff to lure potential buyers. This time, main focus is on interior room, and that is major reason for increase of the dimensions. Nevertheless, 2018 Countryman could use brand new drivetrains, but their installing depends on development in engineering rooms in next period of time.

2018 Mini Countryman redesign

Current plans are clear, 2018 Mini Countryman is coming larger than before. It is probable that this model will share UKL platform with Clubman. It is obvious that new vehicle is wider than before, with significantly larger interior room, both for passengers and items carried in the storage area. Wider chassis will allow install of the third seat in the back. Outside, most of the appearance is going to be the same. Major change could be on taillights. There are information that 2018 Countryman won’t offer horizontal, but vertical position, like on the vehicle that shares same platform, Clubman.

2018 Mini Countryman engine

New engines are not in production yet, but could be finished until 2018 Mini Countryman reaches sales start. Powerplant should be 1.5-l 3-cylinder for base models, while higher trims, except some performance and appearance packages, could get 2.0-l unit. Nevertheless, hybrid model couldn’t be dropped yet. One of the variations could be JCW, with better output and tuned styling.

New Countryman is one of five models which are being developed at this moment. Company is planning complete refreshment of its lineup in next two years. So, we can expect 2018 Mini Countryman even as a 2017 year model, but it is more likely that vehicle could be presented during next year and released as following year model.
