2018 Ford Escape

Compact crossover range in Ford is filled with Escape model and new vehicle is being prepared for 2018 year. First appeared in 2000, popularity of small SUV is only growing. New technologies, accessories and design are being prepared. High expectations could be load for 2018 Ford Escape which this vehicle is ready to carry. However, there is a pressure of a company and market sales need to fulfill wishes of company headquarters.

2018 Ford Escape engine

It is still unclear if 2018 Ford Escape is going to use engines present in current models or new powerplants are being prepared. However, better performance and fuel economy are certain. There are two drivetrains which could take place in new Escape. First is 1.6-l four-banger with possible output of around 180 hp and 190 lb-ft of torque.  

A 6-speed transmission is mated to this unit and front wheels are getting power through it. Same transmission will be used for any different engine, and one of the units mentioned in rumors is 3.5-l EcoBoost, but it is not likely that this drivetrain is going to take place of 1.6-l powerplant. We will have more information  as the time of release approaches.

2018 Ford Escape redesign

There will be visible changes if we compare 2018 Ford Escape and previous edition. Outside, it still has elegant styling but now with some modifications on lights and grille. It is bigger, bumpers are now getting new color, and overall look is now more attractive to both younger and older users. This SUV uses a lot features from previous model, so other changes are not so big. Inside there are many new functions with new applications and products. 

Not only on infotainment, Ford made upgrades for crossover in cabin comfort. There is room for 5 passengers on leather seats. Not only that, but also great performance and suspension system will improve it additionally. Safety is also upgraded with additional alarms and cameras for rear view and parking. Standard feature on the 2018 Escape is parking sensor.

2018 Ford Escape release date

Small crossover won’t be out before 2018. Premiere of the concept could happen earlier, but production vehicle is coming later with about $23,000 price tag.
