2018 Cadillac XT3

US car maker Cadillac is going to refresh its entire SUV segment in next few years. This change is leaded by the change of the boss, and new chief is trying to make evolution for this class. Not only that existing models are to be updated, but also new vehicles could be launched. One of these comes as 2018 Cadillac XT3. It takes place in compact segment, mainly made for US market, where it is going to compete with German models.
2018 Cadillac XT3 arrival and competition
Luxury spots of the US company are not filled, so 2018 Cadillac XT3 will start from there. It could be class-leader with entry models price tag of $35,000. Nevertheless, release date is set for 2017, and we are sure that Cadillac is going to pick one of the biggest car shows in motherland to present its new SUV. In US market, main competitors are BMW X3Audi Q3 and GLC from Mercedes-Benz.
2018 Cadillac XT3 engine
There is no information about the drive trains which could propel new SUV from Cadillac. It is likely that 4-cylinder engine will be under the hood, but displacement should be announced. Turbo is probably for total output of over 200 hp, probably max to 220 horses. At this moment, we expect 6-speed automatic transmission, but company is preparing new 8-speed box, which could be done by the time 2018 Cadillac XT3 comes out. Comparing to their competitors, US compact crossover will use rear-wheel drive, with AWD left for optional purchase.
2018 Cadillac XT3 redesign

Since this is the new model, we are not sure what 2018 Cadillac XT3 would look like. We suppose that body language could be borrowed from larger models, such as SRX. This should attract more of the younger buyers. With attractive price, this crossover could make strong impact on the market. Inside, leather is used for seats, with metallic and wooden details all spread over the cabin. Seat heaters and air-conditioning are standard features in the new XT3. Touch screen display is installed in all packages, while better sound systems are offered at higher trims, with navigation and some other equipment.
