2018 Audi Q3

 

Audi Q3 is the smallest crossover from famous German carmaker. According to latest information and spy shots, we can expect an announcement of the new vehicle. Sportier model is being prepared for 2018 Audi Q3, and although 2017 is the year of the premiere, the vehicle won’t arrive to dealerships before year after next. Quattro e-tron concept is used for building this vehicle, although MQB platform was mentioned as possible. Now, it is more likely that this concept will be used for next generation of the Q3 SUV. Some of the rivals are using the same platform, so we need to be patient and wait to see what will be offered by Audi.

2018 Audi Q3 engine

Under the hood of the 2018 Audi Q3 is the same 3.5-l TDI with 175 horsepower. Torque rate is 280 lb-ft. There is possibility of direct-injection system, which could bring more power, probably over 220 hp. Transmission system is unknown yet. However, there are rumors telling about 2.0-l engines, either TDI or TSI. Also, there is a gossip about smaller 1.4-l drivetrain, but none of these haven’t been confirmed by officials. Many assist systems will be implemented in this vehicle and crossover is going to offer smoother ride.

Some of many features, which are there to help driver, improve infotainment and boost comfort are Virtual Cockpit display and multi-spoke steering wheel. Then, there are 6 airbags in the cabin, all-zone air conditioner and Electronic stability program. Overall dimensions of the SUV are slightly increased, and length is now 4.45 meters, while 2018 Audi Q3 will be 2.65 m wide. It is still 5-seater with enough room for head and legs. Next generations of the crossover could bring changes and 2 more seating places.

2018 Audi Q3 release date


Premiere of the 2018 Audi Q3 is planned for next year. It could happen in any of the big car shows, but sale will start in 2018. It will happen first in Audi showrooms, and some while after that in other dealerships. Price could suffer some changes comparing to current vehicle, but it is still unknown.
